Young Jung joined the Institute for Work & Health (IWH) in 2016 as a PhD student to work on a project with Dr. Emile Tompa studying the burden of occupational cancer.
He is currently a third-year PhD candidate in health economics at McMaster University. His doctoral research looks at the barriers to social inclusion for persons with disabilities in the labour market.
Jung holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in economics. His research interests include economic evaluation, health-care financing, and patients’ and caregivers’ financial burden, particularly in the area of cancer.
