Newcomers to Canada often lack knowledge about workplace health and safety issues or about their rights and responsibilities in the event of a work injury or illness. IWH's Safe Work Toolkit, designed to help settlement agencies fill in this knowledge gap, has seen uptake in Ontario and beyond.

How well can a set of eight questions capture something as broad and multi-faceted as an organization’s OHS policies and practices? An IWH study examines practices and policies at organizations that had completed the IWH-OPM. It finds consistent patterns in how high- and medium-scorers approach OHS.

Advocates for greater inclusion of people with disabilities in the labour force now have a roadmap to guide their efforts. Developed in broad consultation, the pan-Canadian strategy is built on disability-confident workplaces and comprehensive supports for persons with disabilities.
