Pam Cardwell
Pam Cardwell is a knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE) associate at the Institute for Work & Health. She works with Institute scientists to engage stakeholders in the research process, conducts outreach to involve new parties in IWH research and strengthens relationships within the existing stakeholder network. As part of the KTE team, she delivers Institute events that present topical and cross-cutting research to a wide variety of stakeholders, foster discussion around practical implications, and build capacity for stakeholders to use and share research that will positively impact the well-being of workers.
Before joining the Institute in 2023, Cardwell managed the federally funded, multi-sectoral stakeholder program, the Toronto West Local Immigration Partnership, coordinating programs and services and building the capacity of newcomer-serving organizations to improve the outcomes for newcomers settling in Toronto. Her previous experience also includes rolling out the Stanford University Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, engaging and enabling partners to successfully run the workshops for people with chronic health conditions in their communities.
Cardwell has a master's degree in Critical Disability Studies from York University.
