Leslie Vesely is a research associate at the Institute for Work and Health (IWH). She is currently working on the Partnership on AI and Quality of Work project and supports the knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE) team in engaging stakeholders in research, specifically through networks such as IWH Connects.

Since joining IWH, Vesely supported a variety of qualitative and mixed-methods studies, including research on occupational psychological injury compensation and prevention systems, and return-to-work for public safety personnel experiencing post-traumatic stress injuries. She is passionate about creating actionable and accessible research that takes a social justice lens by considering power dynamics and the complex systems at play. She also has a special interest in mental health. 

Vesely holds an MA in Social Anthropology from York University and an MSc in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Guelph. She is a qualitative researcher and a Registered Psychotherapist.
