Dr. Eugene Wen

Eugene Wen is the vice-president and global chief data scientist of Manulife Financial, where he was previously the vice-president for group advanced analytics. Over his career in data analytics and business leadership, Wen has extensive experience in developing advanced analytics solutions, building strategies, and establishing analytics teams.

Prior to joining Manulife, Wen served as the vice-president and chief statistician at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). He also led the national health indicators portfolio at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). He obtained his doctor of public health (DrPH) from University of Texas, School of Public Health.
