Cynthia Chen is an analyst/biostatistician in the Data and Information Systems Program at the Institute for Work & Health.
Since joining IWH in 2005, Chen has provided statistical support for projects across the Institute’s range of activities. She is currently working with Dr. Peter Smith to explore the gender and age differences in return to work after injury, and the trend of violence attack claims in the workplaces in Ontario. She is also working with Dr. Sheilah Hogg-Johnson to predict the return to work of injured workers using information from worker’s compensation organizations and health providers.
Chen received a master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of Toronto.
