Cynthia Chen is a research analyst at the Institute for Work & Health where she chairs the Quantitative Methods Presentation series.

Since joining the Institute in 2005, Chen has provided statistical support for projects across the Institute’s range of activities. She is currently working with Dr. Aviroop Biswas on a project examining how 24-hour movement behaviours are associated with cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality risk in workers and in the general population. She is also working with Dr. Faraz Shahidi to describe the ‘types’ of jobs on offer in the labour market using latent class analysis and to understand how workers transition over time between the different ‘types’ of jobs available.

Chen received a master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of Toronto.
