Hadia Rafiqzad is a research associate at the Institute for Work and Health. She joined the Institute in May 2024.

She is currently supporting the research of Dr. Dwayne Van Eerd, Emma Irvin, and Dr. Basak Yanar on incentive-based approaches to support stay at work or return to work, and on early occupational health and safety interventions for small businesses.

Rafiqzad completed her master's of public health at McMaster University, and her honours bachelor of science in neuroscience and psychology from the University of Toronto. She has a background in research, advocacy, and community organizing.
