Hela Bakhtari
Hela Bakhtari is a research associate at the Institute for Work & Health (IWH). She joined the Institute in September 2022 and is currently supporting the research work of Scientist Dr. Arif Jetha in areas related to the future of work, strategic foresight and artificial intelligence.
Bakhtari previously held a research position with the Defence and Security Foresight Group, supporting grant projects funded by the Department of National Defence (DND)’s Mobilizing Insights in Defence and Security (MINDS) program to address policy challenges in Afghanistan. She also held research assistantships with the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaboration Centre for Governance, Accountability and Transparency in the Pharmaceutical Sector, as well as the Institute for Life Course and Aging.
Bakhtari received her master’s degree in political science (with a specialization in ethnic, immigration and pluralism studies) from the University of Toronto.
