Julie Bowring is a research associate at the Institute for Work & Health. She is currently the project coordinator for the Accommodating and Communicating about Episodic Disabilities (ACED) Partnership Project, headed by Dr. Monique Gignac.

Before joining IWH in 2016, she worked with Dr. Monique Gignac at the University Health Network as a library assistant, interviewer and project coordinator.

Bowring trained as a social historian with a focus on social structure and economic development. Her interests include social inequality in health and employment, survey design and administration, and the challenges of recruitment for primary data collection.
