Kim Froats

Kim Froats is the director of health and safety at Aultsville Management Consultants. He has over 30 years of experience in leading and directing occupational health and safety teams in food manufacturing, pulp and paper, power generation and petrochemical industries. Previously, he was the senior manager of occupational health, safety and environment at Metrolinx and the director of health and safety at McCain Foods Canada.
Froats holds a BSc and a diploma in occupational health and safety from McMaster University and master’s degrees in engineering (MEng) and industrial relations (MIR) from the University of Toronto. He holds certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (CSP), Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (ROH) and the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (CIH).
He has served on the board of directors of the Ontario College of Trades, Ontario's Public Services Health & Safety Association and WorkSafe NB. He is also certified by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D).
Froats has held several teaching and lecturing assignments at post-secondary institutions across North America, They include the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Toronto Metropolitan University and the Louisiana State University.
