Sandra Miller

Sandra Miller has over 25 years of experience as a senior executive in occupational health and safety, most recently as vice-president of strategy and governance with the largest health and safety association in Ontario. Her leadership responsibilities included strategy development, change management, government relations, enterprise risk management, knowledge mobilization and stakeholder relations.

Throughout her career she has served as board member and chair, and provided guidance to boards of directors of multiple non-profit organizations. In 2010, Miller was policy advisor to the Ministry of Labour expert panel review of the occupational health and safety system in Ontario, which resulted in legislative changes and the restructuring of the health and safety associations governance. She is a past chair for the Centre for Health & Safety Innovation and a current board member for the Arctic Research Foundation. She also sits on the Canadian Standards Association OHS Strategic Steering Committee.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, Miller has her master’s in leadership and training from Royal Roads University. She received the Ontario Public Service Amethyst Award for Professionalism and maintains her Governance Professionals of Canada designation (GPC.D).
