Sara Macdonald is a knowledge exchange associate at the Institute for Work & Health (IWH). Her role at IWH is to engage stakeholders in research projects, from concept development to the dissemination of research results.
A member of the Knowledge Transfer and Exchange Department, Macdonald is a participant on many different IWH research teams studying injury and disability prevention. She also manages three stakeholder knowledge exchange networks: for occupational health and safety professionals, disability managers and chiropractors. As well, she works on knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE) projects to improve stakeholder engagement, research uptake and capacity building in the broader KTE community.
Macdonald earned an occupational health and safety certificate at Ryerson University to complement her earlier education in science at the University of Waterloo and in business systems management and project coordination from Askengren College in Gothenburg, Sweden.
