Dr. Silvia Bonaccio

Dr. Silvia Bonaccio is the Ian Telfer Professor of Workplace Psychology in the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. She is the founding director of Telfer’s PhD in management program, an associate editor at Personnel Assessment and Decisions, and a past chair of the Canadian Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Bonaccio's research focuses on the facilitators of inclusive work experiences, with a particular focus on employees living with disabilities. Her other stream of research centres on understanding the causes and consequences of job candidates’ anxiety during interviews and employment tests. 

Bonaccio is the recipient of the 2020 Telfer School of Management Established Researcher Award. In recognition of her significant contributions to teaching and research, the University of Ottawa awarded her the Excellence in Education Prize in 2016. 

Bonaccio earned her PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from Indiana's Purdue University and her MSc in management from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business in Montreal.
