What would be the savings to Canadian society if we did not have any new cases of lung cancer or mesothelioma attributable to occupational asbestos exposures in a particular year? That is the key question behind an economic burden study by the Institute for Work & Health, with support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Early results from that study were presented in  November 2015 at a stakeholder meeting held by the Occupational Cancer Research Centre.
